BREAKING: De Blasio Announces Private Sector Vaccine Mandate

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a plan to enact a vaccine mandate for private sector employees Monday.

Speaking MSNBC, de Blasio said that the mandate was in response to the emergence of the Omicron coronavirus variant and would take effect on December 27th.

De Blasio said that the mandate would be the first of its kind in the US, “We’re leading the way and taking bold steps to combat COVID,” he said.

    Dies he have the legal authority to mandate for private schools? Sounds like a court case to me! I am fully vaccinated with a booster, but I think people should have the right to choose.

    Also fully vaccinated, (sans booster – yet). I also don’t believe people should be forced to get vaccinated.
