25 Fire Stations Out of Service As Vaccine Mandate Kicks In

by CrownHeights.info

Twenty-five fire stations run by the FDNY were out of Service since Friday night across New York City after the city’s Vaccine Mandate took effect.

As expected, a bump in vaccinations immediately before the deadline, bringing the city’s workforce to an 83% vaccination rate, but still leaving a whopping 26,600 without the jab.

The numbers by department also tell a story, with 72% of FDNY members and 84% of NYPD personnel having received at least one dose of the vaccine. The Department of Sanitation employees showed an only 77% compliance, with the department having implemented an unofficial slowdown, leaving trash building up across the city over the last week.

The FDNY EMS numbers were also relatively low, with only 84% showing vaccinated.
