For the second time this week, an EMS crew working the 911 system was robbed at gunpoint in Brooklyn.

The crew had responded to an emergency call for an elderly person having a seizure in the Williamsburg area when they were ambushed and held up for their equipment and radios.

The incident marks a trend in what was otherwise a very rare occurrence in New York City, where EMS crews are considered a sacred even by most criminals.

Ambulance crews have since been placed on increased alert as the NYPD investigates.
