Cuomo: Brooklyn Red Zone Eliminated, Moves To Orange

by CrownHeights.info

Brooklyn is no longer red according to New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, who announced the move from red to orange for a large swath of Brooklyn South.

The red zone that had covered the majorly Jewish areas of Boro Park and Flatbush had become a hotbed of controversy over what residents were alleging was uncalled for attention, punitive restrictions, and outright antisemitic attacks.

Recent pushback on the governor’s Brooklyn red zone included the glaring hypocrisy of high positive COVID rates in other neighborhoods that lacked any state mandated zones, while the Jewish areas remained under tight restrictions.
