Mayor Announces Closure Of All NYC Public Schools
by CrownHeights.info
As of tomorrow, March 16th, all public schools will be closed across New York City until at least April 20th, announced NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio.
The decision to close the schools is being made to slow the COVID-19 virus, in the hopes of not overloading New York City’s medical system.
The mayor also noted that the closure may continue through the end of the 2019-2020 school year.
Beginning tomorrow, students will not report to school buildings for instruction as we transition to Remote Learning and Regional Enrichment Centers. More information is available at https://t.co/a6osApfhy7. https://t.co/iJMja2nk03
