ALERT: FDR Closed in Both Directions After Crane Collapses, Hits Building
The FDR has been shut in both directions after a crane collapsed, and struck the side of a building. No one has been reported injured, and the building reportedly sustained only minor damage.

The FDR Drive has been shut in both directions after a crane, working on a nearby building, collapsed while raising a load.
The boom swung, hitting the side of the building and doing minor damage.
No was reported injured, and the FDR shut down as the crane was being lowered.

Right now the FDR is closed in BOTH directions around East 6th Street in Manhattan because of an incident with a construction crane nearby.
