City Unveils New, Simplified Parking Signs

One of the city’s most daunting challenges — decoding parking regulation signs — is getting easier in parts of Manhattan.
Officials on Monday unveiled a new and simplified design for commercial parking areas of midtown, the upper East Side, lower Manhattan and the Financial District.
The streamlined version has fewer words and colors, and features a more consistent layout, officials said.
