In the final New Yorks State budget agreement, $25 million of title xx funds for Senior centers Fully restored, averting what could have forced the closure of senior centers statewide.

After much negotiating with the governor and elected officials, it was announced yesterday that funds for senior centers in NYC will be fully restored. This means the shalom senior center in crown heights will not be closed.
