FEMA Denies Brooklyn Emergency Blizzard Funds

Mayor Michael Bloomberg is upset that the city will not receive all the funds it requested from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help cover the costs for the Dec. 26 blizzard.

President Barack Obama signed the order releasing funds for Staten Island, but denied the funds for Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx, citing that only Staten Island received a record snowfall total.

The mayor has said that while the city did not receive all the funds it wanted, the money granted to Staten Island will help alleviate some of the financial burden felt by the city because of the storm.

I guess negligence on Bloombergs part does not
constitute an emergency on FEMA’s part. Shame on you Bloomberg for thinking you deserve the money
