LIVE: Hearings on City’s Botched Blizzard Response

At 11:00 AM NYC Council started hearings to criticize top Bloomberg officials for failing to respond adequately to the blizzard that paralyzed the city for several days late last month.

The debate is expected to be heavy on political fireworks, with a squad of Council leaders facing off against Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s top deputies. The Council will drill down why the city decided not to declare a state of emergency, and how it dealt with stranded ambulances and a barrage of 911 calls in the aftermath of the storm.

Where is Rabbi Rosenber? Why is he not there making sure that everything is going keseder. Where is the Vaad and Rabbonim. Why are they not by this meeting, and hearing? Where are our Nitzigim, why are they not by this meeting. Maybe we could learn something, from these meetimgs. When there are complaints, than somebody has to answer to those screw ups. We shouldn’t be different. You people don’t own us, let alone the community. Learn from the higher ups. Be a man.

These hearings were held over there by Chanina Sperlin’s close confident and friend Latisha James who represents Jewish Crown Heights.

Latisha James is the chairperson on the committee that oversees the sanitation dept. She did nothing for us .Her office was closed during that week, they were all on vacation. So when we needed her, she was not there for us.

Yankel,we did now know that Latisha was grabbing headlines without doing any work. Does the media know this? It is a sad commentary that our Vaad goes for photos when nothing ever gets done when it’s needed.
