  • Loved it

Sully is one amazing fellow. G-d bless him & his family long and happy, healthy years.

  • G-d?

This was so beautiful, the tears are pouring down my face. But where is G-d’s mention? I kept waiting for that “thank G-d” or some kind of recognition that this was a miracle–not only man’s accomplishment!

G-d bless Capt Sullenberger and his co-captain!

  • ANON

this man is incredible. i cannot get over his cool demeanor, his measured words, his complete control and focus. WOW.

  • save a life- save a world

I thought the most beautiful thing was that at the end there is always some spark of yiddishkeit, in this case the note from the guy whose father is a holocaust survivor, and he mentions how saving one life is saving a world. I thought that was so beautiful that such a Jewish message was heard by thousands of Americans across the country.

  • A JEW.

I too was disapointed that the capt. didint mention G-D once!!!
    What an opertunaty lost.
May he be blessed however for saving so many lives.

  • To G-d?

    To G-d?
Its amazing that you wrote your comment. I watched the entire show and was really touched by this incredible storey and Sully. But i had the same thought as you. Nobody mentioned G-d, which in a nation that has it on the dollar bill is quite surprising.
Only G-d can accomplish a story like that AND not have His name mentioned at all…..

  • Tanya explains

Now I understand the end of the first chapter of Tanya the source of all good from goyim. It makes perfect sense why no mention of G-d was made.

  • Focus

I found it interesting that when asked if he was praying, he answered that he left it up to the back, since he was totally focusing on what he had to do. Maybe we can compare that to when the yidden were chased by the yam suf, and they split up into four groups of how to react (pray, fight, return or drown) even to pray wasn’t the right reaction, since they had a mission to complete and needed to move forward.

I was greatly impressed by his professionalism and confidence.
