BDE: Reb Yosef Shaul Muskal, 86, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Reb Yosef Shaul Muskal OBM, a resident of Boro Park and father and grandfather of a large Lubavitch family. He passed away on Thursday, the 13th of Nissan, 5782.

He was 86 years old.

Yosef was born in the bronx in 1935 to Esther and Aaron Muskal. He learned in Tomchei Temimim on Bedford and Dean before making a living as a glassier.

He married Zelda Friedman he was known to give freely of his time to help others.

He lived with his wife in Boro Park for many years where he was a well known as part of the Lubavitch community.

He was predeceased by his wife Zelda OBM in 2000.

He is survived by is children Rochel Rendler (Crown Heights), Chanah Kupfer (Boro Park), Suri Moses (Flatbush, Brooklyn), Sheivy Glatzer (Kensington, Brooklyn), Mendy Muskal (Wellington, FL).

He is also survived by his siblings Bracha Levertov, Malka Sarah Kuperman, and Yankel Muskal, all who live in Crown Heights.

The Levaya will take place today, Thursday, at Shomrei Hadaas at 2:00pm. The Levaya will be passing by 770 at approximately 3:00pm.
