BDE: Rabbi Schneur Zalman Blumenfeld, 58, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Rabbi Schneur Zalman Blumenfeld OBM, head Shliach of Peru, and director of the Chabad Center in Lima. He passed away on FRiday night, the 24th of Cheshvan, 5782.

He was 58 years old.

His tragic passing coincides with the International Kinus Hashluchim 5782 taking place in Crown Heights.

He is survived by his wife Shterna Sara and children, Mendy Blumenfeld (Isreal), Moshe Blumenfeld (Crown Heights), Yerachmiel Blumenfeld (Israel), Chaya Raskin (Orlando, FL), Reiza Blumenfeld (Crown Heights), Rivka Pevzner (Crown Heights) and Yehudit Carlebach (Peru).

He is also survived by his siblings Rabbi Yaakov Blumenfeld (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), Mrs. Chana Scharf (Crown Heights), and Rabbi Yossi Blumenfeld (Crown Heights).

The Levaya and kevura will take place Monday in Lima, Peru.

Shiva for the family will take place in Peru.
