BDE: Rabbi Zalman Notik, 52, OBM

With great sadness we report the untimely passing of Rabbi Zalman Notik OBM, a famed Mashpia of the Yeshiva in Rishon Letzion and inspiration to thousands. He passed away on Sunday, the 7th of Cheshvan, 5781.

He was 52 years old.

Rabbi Notik was born on the 20th of Teves, 5729, in the city of Samarkand to his parents, Rabbi Yaakov and Channa Notik.

At the age of two, he immigrated with his family to Eretz Yisroel, where he would later learn in Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim in Lod and in the Yeshiva in Kiryat Gat.

In the year 5750, he married Nechama Freiman, and following the Rebbe’s instructions, he began to serve as a mashpia in Yeshivas Toras Emes in Yerushalayim.

In recent years, Rabbi Notik has been battling Leukemia, which has sent him into the hospital multiple times.

The Levaya will take place today in Eretz Yisroel.
