BDE: Mrs. Tzivia Rochel, 92, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Mrs. Tzivia Rochel OBM, of Bnei Brak, Israel. She passed away on Friday, Gimmel Adar, 5780, following a short illness.

Tzivia Rochel was the daughter of Harav Aron Yosef Luria OBM of Teveria, the author of Sefer “Avodas Ponim”.

She leaves behind her children: Harav Chaim Boruch Halberstam (Crown Heights), Harav Shmuel Halberstam (Bnei Brak, Israel), Harav Chesed Halberstam (New York), Mrs. Ruchamah Stern (New York), Mrs. Dina Fried (Yerushalayim), Mrs. Malka Hagar (Beit Shemesh, Israel), and Chana Rivkah.

The Levaya took place in Israel before shabbos, and she was buried in the Tzanz section of the Netanya Cemetary. Her burial spot is located next to the “Shefa Chaim” of Tzanz.

Harav Chaim Boruch Halberstam will be sitting Shiva in Bnei Brak from Sunday through Wednesday evening.
