BDE: Pinchus Greenberg, 59, OBM

With great sadness we report the untimely passing of Pinchus (Pinto) Greenberg OBM, a Crown Heights legend who suffered a medical emergency over Tishrei and has been in the hospital since. He passed away Shabbos Day, the 13th of Shvat, 5780.

He was 59 years old.

Pinchus, commonly known as Pinto, was a fixture in the Crown Heights community and considered by many as always having been a bochur.

Pinto was very skilled with computers, and was used by many Crown Heights businesses and organizations as their go to man for their technical support.

Never married, Pinchus leaves behind his siblings: Rabbi Avrohom Leib Greenberg (Cleveland, Ohio), Rabbi Yisroel Greenberg (Crown Heights), Mendy Greenberg (New Haven, CT), Mrs. Shifra Goldstein, Mrs. Chaya Yakobovitch (Tzfas, Israel), Mrs. Malka Touger (Jerusalem, Israel), Mrs. Tema Shapiro, Mrs. Tzipporah Vogel (Crown Heights),and Mrs. Miriam Kalmanson (France).

The levaya will take place Sunday at Shomrei Hadas around 1:00pm, and will be passing by 770 around 1:45pm.

    I remember when he came to America for his bar mitzvah. We brought him to Morristown for his first snow and took him sledding ! As a young bochur he sang with the voice of an angel. BDE
