Boruch Dayan Hoemes: R’ Mendel Brikman, 43, OBM
With great sadness and pain we inform you of the untimely passing of R’ Mendel Brikman OBM, a resident of Crown Heights and local business owner. He was 43 years old.
Mendel was a large character, full of life and loved by everyone he knew. For many years he owned Sterling Electronics on Kingston Avenue.
He had been battling an illness for a number of years, but he never let it get in the way of his easy smile and reaching out to still help others.
He is survived by his wife Toby (nee Goldstein) and their children Yossi, Isser, Ari, Doba, Chaim and Zalman.
He is also survived by his parents Reb Kalman and Shulamis Brikman and his siblings; Sara Liba Levin (Crown Heights), Yossi Brikman (Brooklyn, NY), Avremel Brikman (Crown Heights), Chana Friedman (Pittsburg, PA), Hindy Bortonk (Florida), Yisrolik Brikman (Crown Heights).
The Levaya will take place today, Sunday, passing by 770 at around 1:15pm.
Shiva will be observed after Yom Tov.
