Boruch Dayan Ha’emes: R’ Fischel Weingarten, OBM

Rabbi Fishel Weingarten, who brought merit to many as a recognized lecturer among Chabad Chasidim, passed away Friday evening, following a two-year battle with a serious illness. Rabbi Weingarten was laid to rest Motzei Shabbos at the Har Hamenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem.

During his life, the rabbi established the Ma’ayanei Yisrael institutions on Fischel Street in the Buchari neighborhood of Jerusalem, which became one of the important, influential Chabad institutions.

Over a long period, it distributed conversations of Chabad rebbes to many Jerusalem synagogues and many students at various levels.
