Boruch Dayan Hoemes: Philip Schneider, OBM

With sadness we inform you of the passing of Philip (Shraga Feivel) Schneider, OBM, father of Reb Yerachmiel Schneider of Crown Heights. He was 83 years old.

Philip Schneider was born in Harlem, New York City, during the onset of the great depression. He eventually moved to northern California, where he and his wife raised their two sons, Yerachmiel and Michoel.

He is predeceased by his wife, Chaya Mindel Yenta, by ten years.

Update: The Levaya will take place Thursday, the first day of Chol Hamo’ed Pesach, at Shomrei Hadas Chapels at 3:00pm.
