With great sadness we inform you of the untimely passing of Reb Avrohom Yitzchok Silverstein, a longtime resident of Crown Heights.

He is survived by his wife Leah, and his children.

With great sadness we inform you of the untimely passing of Reb Avrohom Yitzchok Silverstein, a longtime resident of Crown Heights.

He is survived by his wife Leah, and his children.

The Levaya will take place tomorrow, and will be leaveing from the Shomrei Hadas Chaples at 12:30pm and will pass by 770 at around 1:00pm.

    my wishes of condolences and deepest sympathy, goes out to the Dear Silverstein family upon the sudden and tragic death, of their dear father Irving, who was taken far too early….

    As times are, it is truthfully tough, and there is obviously no light of happiness at this time. but may hashem bless his wonderful family with extreme comfort, and simchas, and only future blessings.. Baruch Dayan Emet!!

    I remember Reb Avrohom as my counselor in CGI, Swan Lake in the early 1960’s.In the last years, we would meet at the Chassidus shiur on Shabbos morning in Mishkan Menachem, and he was one of the first to come.A very calm and eidel person.

    Vhokitzu vranenu and we should already meet him as a N’shama in a guf BKOROV MAMESH.

    He was in Miami telling us how exited he was about moving to Eretz Isroel and how he will enjoy Har Nof, what a tragedy for the family and for klal isroel, he was a very special man.

    when something so sad happens there aren’t any word only tears. Reb Avrohom was one of those people who represented what we call “a ba’al shem tov yid”, a true heart of gold, which he gave over to every one of his children. caring, compassionate, simple.
    We know that very soon moshiach will come, and we will all go to Eretz Yisroel, a dream so long waited for.
