A little background
After Professor Hasofer and his wife Dr. Atarah Z“L returned to observant Judiasm, through a miraculous ”Shlichut“ mission of Rabbi Shneur Chaim Gutnick ZATZA”L at the request of The Lubavitcher Rebbe to Tasmania, Australia, the proffesor joined the ranks of the Chabad Shluchim, lecturing extensively around the globe in many languages on the topic of Torah and science. His international reputation as an academic and sceintest, professor emiratus of statistics and mathematics of NSW University lended him great assistance in his reaching out in his very special way to many many lost and assimilated Jews, returning them to their Jewish heritage. May his memory be a merit for Klal Yisroel
