Public Menorah Lightings in Sydney
SYDNEY, Australia [CHI] — For the third candle lighting a huge parade of over 100 cars with Menorahs was organized, driving throughout the city, culminating with a public Menorah lighting in the CBD “Martin Place”, Hundreds of Men woman and children came to celebrate.
Complete with live music and dancing, jumping castles and a giant chocalate Chanukah Menorah!
The Blessings were made by Rabbi Pinchus Feldman Head Shliach of the Rebbe to NSW and the Giant Menora was lit by Rabbi Elimelech Levy – Director of outreach and organizer of the event and Rabbi’s Daniel Kaye and Shabsi Tayar of the Yeshiva Gedola Sydney.
A very special Yishar Koach goes to the Talmidim Hashluchim and the Hanhola, Rabbi Yosef Feldman the Menahel Ruchni and Rabbi Dovid Slavin the Menahel Gashmi, who worked day and night to make this event the great success that it was!
An especially great thank you goes to Hashem Yisborech and the Rebbe for the amazing miracle that took place, the weather forecast was heavy rain and thunderstorms, that morning the skies were heavily overcast with black dark clouds, amazingly, after a letter was sent to the Rebbe that afternoon the clouds cleared, the sun came out in all it’s glory and people even got sunburnt!
