Public School Children Get Handmade Shmura Matza

On Wednesday, Jewish public school students who attend the Released Time program were given a taste of Pesach. They learned hands-on the ins and outs of the upcoming holiday.

These Jewish children from public schools across the New York City area also participated in model Matza bakeries arranged by the local Shluchim. In addition, Released Time gave each child a box of hand-baked Shmurah Matzos – enough for both sedarim – together with an English Haggadah and the newly printed Rabbi Riddle Jewish comic book on Pesach.

Released time instructors also visited children and their families at their homes.

The Released Time Program of Greater New York distributed a total of 800 pounds of Matza to its students, their families, the Jewish drivers for the children and the Jewish staff at the public schools.
