JNet Announces Winners of Learning Campaign
From Argentina to England to South Africa to Uruguay, hundreds participated in the JNet Gimmel Tammuz learning campaign.
Participants were asked to study a sicha of the Rebbe in English, Spanish, or Hebrew and then answer three questions related to the material for a chance to win prizes. Three winners were chosen today.
Congratulations to:
First prize, $500: Chavah Deutsch, Johannesburg, South Africa
Second prize, Nexus 7: Lila Gorin, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Third prize, one-year subscription to JEM’s new Living Torah app: Johann Bromet, Barcelona, Spain
Participants were asked to share the most powerful new lesson they took from the sicha. Here are some selected answers:
“There is no such thing as a free moment from spreading G-dliness ‘cause this is our mission.”
“With davening you can change anything…the power of prayer.”
“My father recently passed away; reading the sicha helped me to refocus my perspective that life is our opportunity to bring G-dliness into the world. However, if someone comes to death, they are also given an ultimate opportunity to bring holiness into the world.”
“The new lesson in this sicha is that observing a yartzeit can actually hasten Moshiach’s arrival. I didn’t know that and will be more diligent in the future about this.”
“The highest form of bitachon is to actively expect revealed good from Hashem. It is easy to lose sight of that and feel that there is something wrong with only expecting and wanting revealed good. So I am heartened and will read this over and over to remind myself of this lesson.”
Thank you to all who participated.
