The two seminarians, both age 22, went door-to-door this week to help local Jews prepare for the High Holy Days that begin with Rosh Hashanah on the evening of Sept. 18.
‘We want to inspire people for the upcoming holidays as well as address their interest in Jewish awareness,’ Mr. Kudan said. The pair demonstrated such Jewish traditions of blowing the shofar, or ram’s horn, and affi xing a mezzuzah — a small box containing a written prayer — to the front door.
