Survivor Of Hamas Captivity Makes First Public Appearance With Announcement of Mass Tefillin
by CrownHeights.info
Bar Kuperstein, a survivor of Hamas captivity, made his first public appearance tonight at Hostages’ Square in Tel Aviv. There, he announced plans for a mass Tefillin-laying event this Friday at 10:00 a.m.
“My dream while in captivity was to put on Tefillin,” he said. “This Friday, we’ll do it together, for the release of all our brothers still there.”
Hostages’ Square is usually filled with secular, left-wing Israelis, which makes this appeal all the more powerful and unusual.
