Shazak Jr. Goes Hebrew & War Coupon

As the war in Israel enters its third grueling week, Jews worldwide continue to go above and beyond to support the efforts.

Soldiers are on the front lines or even inside Gaza, volunteers are out delivering food, tzitzis and good cheer to the troops, and civilians do what they can to keep daily life running as usual.

For many mothers, some of whom are alone with their husbands away at war, this means keeping children fed, rested, and occupied. This has been especially challenging since most children are out of school, either some days or all days, depending on the locale.

To support them, Shazak MultiMedia, a US-based educational and entertainment non-profit, is providing hours of on-demand kosher entertainment.

A team of translators has undertaken to translate Shazak Parsha Junior — a weekly slide-show, with colorful, whimsical illustrations — into Hebrew, so that Israeli kids can get in on the fun.

The combined audio-video experience of an English audio track and Hebrew visuals is perfect for kids of Anglo parents who have attended Hebrew-language schools.

It’s also proven useful for native Hebrew speakers who want to gain exposure to English. This model was successfully pioneered and used in earlier translations of Shazak Junior into Slovak, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, and other languages.

“It’s been a challenge having the kids home all day,” says Mrs. Bergan, a mother of 6 in Ashkelon. “Shazak has been a game changer. The coloring sheets, audio, video, quizzers, and jokes have become the centerpiece of our week and a great way to learn Parsha as well.”

To further serve the children of Israel, Shazak has opened up its membership to anyone in Israel at a 40% discount, which they’ll be able to keep indefinitely. Membership provides them full access to the flagship (English only) Shazak videos on every Parsha and holiday, Torah insights, the Parsha Post, quizzes, games, coloring pages, and a lot more.
