Two Staten Island homes have been served an eviction notices by the FDNY over construction and safety violations at two adjacent homes used as what appears to be a boarding school.

According to a report by the New York Post, the houses were found by the Fire Department to have 47 bunkbeds jammed into every available space, including cellars.

A cafeteria was also found inside the homes according to department spokesman Frank Dwyer.

Neighbors told the New York Post that the two homes had been connected with a wood walkway, and had been used to house Jewish boys for the last year.

According to Dwyer, “FDNY members ordered a full vacate for both addresses, based on overcrowding, and lack of egress.”

A large 1,000 foot trailer was also found on the premises, which appears to have housed “educational facilities”.
