Rabbonim Encourage The Community To Vote In Upcoming Government Election

A government election is scheduled to take place next month that has significant ramifications to the representation of the Jewish community in the US Government.
The Beis Din of Crown Heights published a letter encouraging the community to take action and vote.
“It has been brought to our attention that there is a special primary election on Tuesday, Rosh Chodesh Tammuz (June 23rd). We suggest that all Crown Heights residents who are eighteen years and older register to vote and go out and vote on June 23rd.”
All U.S. congressional districts, including the 9th Congressional District of New York which covers Crown Heights, are holding elections on Tuesday, June 23rd 2020.
Facing off against incumbent Yvette Clarke, is New York City Council Member Chaim Deutsch, a frum member of the Flatbush Jewish community. He will be running under the Democratic ticket.
Important at this time is for the Crown Heights community to register and come out and vote.
