Fallsburg Suspends Occupancy Permits for Bungalow Colonies
The state’s prohibition against large gatherings is bringing a temporary halt to the use of a Sullivan County staple: bungalow colonies.
Fallsburg town Supervisor Steven Vegliante’s emergency declaration, issued Thursday, specified those among the uses of property that must be put on hold for now.
The declaration said certificates of occupancy for “all camps and seasonal communities” are now suspended, and their use is prohibited within the town.
The edict is in keeping with Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s directive that prohibits any size of gatherings.
