Missing Mother’s Body Found in the Hudson
The body of an Orthodox-Jewish mother from Monsey who had been missing since April was discovered in the Hudson River, near Bear Mountain Bridge in Upstate New York.
The body was discovered yesterday, Wednesday, and positively identified today, Thursday, as that of Malky Lebowitz (nee Einhorn), OBM.
Malky was married and the mother of a baby girl. Formerly a member of the Satmar community, she later moved to New City, a town neighboring Monsey.
Initial reports say that Mr. Yossi morgeretan, coordinator of Rockland Chaveirim, was on a boat with a special underwater Sonar which they were testing out when the woman’s body was recovered.
The family and close friends have been notified.
