Were there steps down ? I thought the closer you go to the heichal stps only go up?

My Rabbi says that the steps going to the mizbe’ach area should go up, not down.

That is truly amazing to be able to see in 3D how the Beis Hamikdash actually was. I wonder how they were able to do it, and in fact put in google maps for it dosent stand here today unfortunatly…..
