Kiev Jews Form Militia to Fight Anti-Semites

A small group of Jewish men with backgrounds in the military and martial arts skills have formed a militia to battle anti-Semitism in Kiev, Ukraine.

Tthe eight men in the rapid intervention force are Israeli or Ukrainian former military members or have advanced martial arts skills.

In an interview with JTA, Tzvi Arieli, the group’s founder, said he formed the group at the behest of Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Yaakov Dov Bleich.

Anti-Semitic attacks have been on the rise in the Ukraine since the start of the revolution in November. Arieli states anti-Semitic attacks used to be rare in Ukraine, however, four Orthodox Jews in the area have been the targets of physical attacks and there were two efforts to burn down synagogues.

let’s form something like this in Crown Heights and then there will be no more of our young children afraid for their bikes, young men and women attending their friends lechaim will not have to look back behind them and holding on to their purses and cell phone for dear life and very hard working mothers going shopping coming back home parking the car leaving The Window Or the keys inside in order to continue on their very busy schedule will not come back to a stolen car…In short not afraid of ur own shadow!

  • @6 your too funny.

Don’t even try to compare the two. Your talking about ex-military personnel on the job as a militiaman. They are trained to get shit done.
