TRAGEDY: 6 Family Members Killed in Rehovot Fire

Six people, including five children, died in a burning building in Rechovot, Israel last night. Two more have been reported injured in the blaze, which broke out at 10 PM.

The six fatalities are members of an Orthodox Yemenite Family, including a father and his five children, ranging in age from two to eleven years, who live in the bi-level building located on Rechov Nejara.

One United Hatzala volunteer who discovered the lifeless bodies described it as โ€œthe worst thing I have ever seen in my life.โ€ Those who were on scene report that it appears as if the father was attempting to save his children when he too succumbed to the blaze.

Police have called in Magen David Adom in order to deal with the large number of expected casualties. Numerous individuals have been taken to Kaplan Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

According to Israel Radio, the mother of the children managed to escape and call emergency services.

    the real shailah is how long will WE SIT HERE while we watch our Fellow YIdden suffer. How many times do I neglect doing a Mitzvah with extra fire every day, it’s easy to blame it on Hashem, but looking back, I can only speak for myself, part of this could be me.

    plus, can’t anyone just thank G-d that they are alive?

    When it comes to our own suffering we have to be mekabel but when it comes to the tzoros of another yid we have to cry out to Hashem that it is unfair
