Rubashkin’s Former Manager Arrested in Israel

U.S. Federal prosecutors say a former manager at a kosher slaughterhouse in Iowa has been arrested in Israel and may be extradited to the U.S. to face charges that he harbored illegal immigrants for profit.

The U.S. Attorney’s office in Cedar Rapids said Wednesday that Hosam Amara was arrested March 31 by Israeli authorities acting on a U.S. request for extradition. A statement from the office said he is in custody pending extradition proceedings in Israel, with a hearing scheduled for May 2.

A superseding indictment in 2009 charged Amara with several counts related to harboring undocumented workers for profit and document fraud for his role as a poultry manager at Agriprocessors Inc. The meatpacking company filed bankruptcy in November 2008 after a massive immigration raid at its Postville plant.

    Wasn’t the immigration charge against Rubashkin dropped.
    What do they want now? Let the US release Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin and Pollard.

    Hopefully, he will be quickly extradited by EY and returned to stand trial in the U.S. As we have seen, there is growing suspicion that yidden cannot be trusted to be released on bail because they will run away to EY. As a result, many yidden are being held on high bail because of the actions of a few dreche like Amara who fled the country. He should be tried in court here and if the facts support the charges, he should be convicted and sentenced to prison.

    M’ken shoin meinen az er iz the biggest criminal on the Top 10 list. The US government can’t (won’t) go after murderes and rapists but a guy who worked in a meat packing place and as a result made Kosher meat available to the public, him they chase aroind the globe. What a bunch of B.S.

    I think Sholom Rubashkin should never have been sentenced to a virtual life sentence. A meat packer law from 1921 that was NEVER used was used against Sholom, while others who violated the same law walk free today. Double standard for a Jew and for a GOY. Time to go home to Israel and leave the US behind. Israel should NOT extradite any of their citizens to the US for ANY reason. The usa is on it’s way down….5771 may moshiach come now.
