‘Fresh and Healthy’ Gets Lubavitcher Hechsher

There is now another option for consumers, Fresh & Healthy is now under a Lubavitcher hechsher. Until now there was just one option for consumers seeking Lubavitch only milk products, now another joins the mix.

Reb Moshe Banayan, manager of fresh and healthy, got in touch with Yossi Brook of Kashrus International and expressed his desire to improve and add their kosher certification. Rabbi Baruch Lesches, the Rav Hamachshir of Kashrus International went down to the dairy plant and farm, where he inspected the production line.

Yossi Brook told CrownHeights.info that “the place is being properly koshered in line with the instruction of the Alter Rebbe and the Mashgichim are really knowledgeable. After a few months of inspections with Rabbi Lesches we have officially come out and given them a Hechsher. Now besides the high quality of milk they have the highest standards in kashrus.”

This Hechsher covers milk with the red, blue and green labels and caps, as well as the chocolate milk with the brown label.

  • Now what?

Will competition make the milk cheaper? Or will they conspire to keep the prices high?

Just keep shopping in CH and paying more. I was discussed shopping in Empire Kosher for the first time. Almost every item is 20 cents more than the Kollel Store

  • BE HAPPY IT IS BECOMING ON YOU

HERE WE HAVE SOME GOOD NEWS FOR A CHANGE, AND THE SCEPTICS ARE AT IT AGAIN.

I FOR ONE AM HAPPY AT THE BROCHA THAT WE HAVE ANOTHER PRODUCT LINE, AND HOPEFULLY MORE MILCHIG PRODUCTS THAT MAY FOLLOW.

TRY SMILING IT LOOKS GOOD ON A JEW.

  • higher prices

the other milk that has ch hechsher (forgot the name) is like 40 cents cheeper in boro park. and this is what we get for having a ch hechsher. HIGHER PRICES!

  • Hatzlocho Moshe!

Good to see that Moshe Banayan is getting another chance in the business. He was the first to break the CY monopoly with Goldman’s and the first to provide milk that meets Chabad standards with the original Ahava. Hatzlocho.

I agree with you 100%. Moshe Banayan is a good freind of Crown heights and Lubavitch. And I can add that he was the one who kept Cholov Yisroel milk cheap. If not for him we would be paying over $4 for half a gallon

i wish Moshe Banayan a lot of hatzlacha and we should see many more products under the new Lubavitch supervision.

    or high price for nothing…

  • Emes milk is the Truth in milk

Emes milk is the Best and only milk that we buy, it is owned by the Bistritzky Brothers Mendy and Schneur both lubavitchers who’s Father had a cheese store on the lower east side. when it comes to dairy products they know their stuff,

  • Moshe Banayan

Thank You for the best wishes and your support, Fresh & Healthy milk is the freshest milk good to the last drop and it is now al pi the alter Rebbe standard, and I thank hashem to have passed this mile stone and again be part of the kehila. I pledge that the Fresh & Healthy milk will be same price in crown hight if not cheaper than else where.

I am more interested in cheaper housing and real issues that face our community rather than as additional hechsher on any milk. One good hechsher is good enough for me! It’s all the same anyway. It all boils down to who makes the money!

ch-ers are so shallow its disgusting. It’s one thing to be so shallow it’s another to post it online.

  • Good Jew

The Fresh & Healthy dairy products I have tried so far have been really great. Milk lasts pretty long comparing… And they are working hard to make it even better. I’m impressed. Best luck Mr. Banayan. You are a good man.
