BROOKLYN, NY [JTA] — A Flatbush yeshiva has been closed after two students were diagnosed with swine flu.

BROOKLYN, NY [JTA] — A Flatbush yeshiva has been closed after two students were diagnosed with swine flu.
A student in the high school and a student in the elementary school have come down with the disease, according to an email sent to the parents of students at the yeshiva.
The yeshiva, which is the main school for the Syrian community of Flatbush, will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday following the Memorial Day holiday weekend, according to the letter, circulated Friday.
Meanwhile, Israel announced its eighth confirmed case of the virus. The Israeli, 24, who recently returned from a visit to the United States, has been isolated in an Israeli hospital.

I heard Yeshivah of Flatbush also has some cases and there were a couple more cases in Magen David Yeshiva too!

Flatbusher, I don’t know where you heard that Prospect Park Yeshiva is closed! It’s open and an announcement was made to the high school students that it WILL NOT close.
Girls with brothers in Chofetz Chaim and Magen David were simply asked not to come to school.

Update on Prospect: An automated phone call just said that as of now, the school is not closing and girls can come as long as they show no symptoms and their family shows no symptoms.
