Chaim V’Chessed: Government Offices Update – Arnona Deadline, Misrad HaPnim Closures, and License Office Hours

As summer winds down, Chaim V’Chessed shares that various government offices across Israel are adjusting their schedules, while important deadlines are also approaching.

The Jerusalem Municipality has resumed its regular hours following the summer recess. Residents are reminded that the deadline for submitting applications for Arnona (municipal tax) discounts is August 31. For more information on applying for Arnona discounts, click here.

Misrad HaPnim (Interior Ministry) offices are currently closed for summer vacation through Monday, September 1. Normal operations will resume Tuesday, September 2. During this period, offices are open by appointment only, and visa sections at all branches remain closed.

Meanwhile, Misrad HaRishui (Driver’s License Authority) offices are operating on morning hours only until September 4.
