HY”D: Nine IDF Soldiers Fall in Battle in Gaza

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit on Tuesday morning announced the names of nine soldiers who fell in battle in Gaza. Unfortunately, Monday was a difficult day for the IDF.

– Sergeant Roi Tal, 19, from Kfar Yehoshua, who fought in the 94th Battalion of the Kfir Brigade, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

– Sergeant first class (res.) David Schwartz, 26, from Elazar, who fought in the 8219th Engineering Battalion, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

– Sergeant first class (res.) Yakir Hexter, 26, from Jerusalem, who fought in the 8219th Engineering Battalion, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

– Sergeant first class (res.) Gavriel Bloom, 27, from Beit Shemesh, fell in battle in the central Gaza Strip.

Master Sgt. (res.) Amit Moshe Shahar, 25, of the Combat Engineering Corps’ Yahalom unit, from Ramat Yohanan.

Cpt. (res.) Denis Krokhmalov Veksler, 32, an officer in the Combat Engineering Corps’ Yahalom unit, from Beersheba.

Cpt. (res.) Ron Efrimi, 26, an officer in the Combat Engineering Corps’ Yahalom unit, from Hod Hasharon.

Master Sgt. (res.) Roi Avraham Maimon, 24, a paramedic in in the Combat Engineering Corps’ Yahalom unit, from Afula.

Sgt. Maj. (res.) Akiva Yasinskiy, 35, of the Combat Engineering Corps’ 8173rd Battalion, from Ramat Gan.

A reservist was seriously injured in the battle in which Schwartz and Hexter were killed.

In addition, a combat officer and two reservists from were seriously injured in the battle in which the Bloom fell. 

Two reservists were seriously injured in battle in the central Gaza Strip.
