Eight More Israeli Hostages Freed from Hamas Captivity Thursday
IDF special forces and ISA forces received six released Israeli hostages inside Israeli territory on Thursday evening, with an additional two released earlier in the day.
The six hostages who were freed on Thursday evening are:
Nili Margalit (41)
Nili is 41 years old, a true friend, family-oriented, and the kind of person who will always be there when you need them.
She studied nursing as an undergrad and healthcare administration for her Master’s degree.
She works as a pediatric nurse at Soroka Hospital. She is a talented, professional nurse, sensitive and full of care and compassion towards her young patients and their parents.
Ever since she was little she loved music and animals, and her dog Nechi Nech is her favorite thing in the world, after her family. She’s the best aunt you could ask for, always doting on and pampering her nieces and nephews. She was kidnapped from her home in Kibbutz Nir Oz.
Shani Goren (29)
Shani is 29 years old, is extremely funny and well-liked by everyone.
She’s the youngest sister in her family and no one can say no to her.
Shani works in informal education in Kibbutz Nir Oz where she lives, and is well-known in her community. She’s the one everyone wants by their side in every situation – she always knows how to say the funniest thing that can calm everyone around her. She is accepting of everyone around her.
Shani was kidnapped from her home in the kibbutz with her dog.
Ilana Gritzewsky (30)
Ilana is 30 years old, an incredibly happy and friendly person, responsible, and always ready to lend a helping hand. She immigrated to Israel at age 16 from Mexico with the Naale program, her favorite food is Mexican food, and she returned to Israel from a visit to Mexico only two weeks before October 7.
She loves Israel, works in the plant nursery, and is slated to become a manager in the nursery company.
She was kidnapped from her home in Kibbutz Nir Oz along with her partner Matan Zangauker who is still held captive by Hamas.
Sapir Cohen (29)
Sapir is 29 years old, always helping anyone in need, modest, and contributes as much as she can, especially to Holocaust survivors. Sapir studied acting and later computer science, and today she works as a software engineer. She takes in stray cats from the street and cares for them. She was kidnapped along with her partner Alexander (Sasha) Trupanob who is still held captive by Hamas, alongside Sasha’s mother and grandmother who were both released last night.
Aisha Alziadana (17) and Bilal Alziadana (18)
The Alziadana family resides on the outskirts of the city of Rahat.
Bilal and Aisha were kidnapped from Kibbutz Holit on the morning of October 7th along with their father Yousef and their older brother Hamza. The family went as usual to work on the dairy farm in the kibbutz. Uncharacteristically, that day Aisha joined them.
Their father Yousef and their older brother Hamza are still held captive by Hamas.
Earlier, the IDF announced that Mia Schem (21) and Amit Soussana (40) were freed by Hamas and were accompanied by IDF special forces and ISA forces to the Hatzerim Base.
