Israel, Hamas Reach Deal for 50 Hostages in Exchange for Multi-Day Ceasefire in War
Israel has approved a deal with Hamas for the release of roughly 50 hostages held by the terror group in exchange for a multi-day ceasefire, according to reports.
The Qatar-mediated agreement was approved by the Israel Cabinet early Wednesday morning local time after more than five hours of debating.
In exchange, Israel had been expected to agree to a days-long pause in the war that has devastated the Palestinian enclave.
