Dominican Republic Considers Moving Embassy to Jerusalem

Following a conversation yesterday between Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi and Dominican Republic Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez, the Dominican Foreign Ministry announced that it was considering moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Minister Ashkenazi thanked the Dominican Minister for his many years of friendship between the two countries and congratulated him on this important decision.

During the conversation, the ministers also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, with an emphasis on promoting trade and economic ties, as well as recent developments in the Middle East.

“I congratulate the FM of the Dominican Republic Robalsdq Alvarez, on the decision of the Dominican Government to consider moving their embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem”, Ashkenazi wrote, “I thanked him during our phone call yesterday for this important decision and for the many years of friendship between our two countries”.
