Rocket Attacks From Gaza Begin Again, One Home Hit

by CrownHeights.info

Rocket attacks by Gaza factions have resumed Shabbos, with two rockets being fired into the town of Sderot.

The rockets triggered Israel’s Iron Dome anti missile system, which shot down one of the incoming projectiles. The second rocket made a direct impact on a home, while shrapnel rained down on nearby buildings and homes.

One person was treated for minor injuries from the falling shrapnel, while others were treated from indirect injuries.

Israel retaliated overnight by hitting a military compound used to store rocket ammunition belonging to the Hamas terror organization.

IDF spokesperson announced that “Earlier tonight, rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip at Israeli territory. In response, a short while ago, IDF fighter jets and aircraft struck additional Hamas military targets in the southern Gaza Strip. During the strike, a military compound used to store rocket ammunition belonging to the Hamas terror organization was struck. The IDF views any terror activity against Israel with great severity and will continue operating as necessary against attempts to harm Israeli civilians or sovereignty. The Hamas terror organization is responsible for all events transpiring in the Gaza Strip and emanating from it, and will bear the consequences for terror activity against Israeli civilians.”
