Shliach from Five Towns Shares his talent with Crown Heights Children

QUEENS, NY [CHI] — The 15th of the month is a known as an Eis Ratzon, when the moon is at it’s fullest, the Rebbe would go every month on this date (and Erev Rosh Chodesh) to the Ohel.

To follow in the Rebbe’s spirit, girls and boys from Crown Heights and the surrounding neighborhoods, gather together for Torah, Tefillah and Tzedakah, on the 15th of every month. The monthly rallies include going to the Ohel, Torah, Tefillah and Tzedakah, fun games and entertainment.

This month, there was an extra-ordinary Torah Game Show presented by the Geisinsky Team, Reb Meir and his son, Mendel, Shluchim in the Five Towns, using hi-tech computer software, challenging the children with their memory and knowledge of the 10 Mivtzoim, pictures of the Rebbe and special Chabad events.

These rallies, initially started by Mrs. Feige Duchman and Mrs. Rivkah Kotlarsky, together with The Shluchim Office, in memory of Hayeled Shlomo Aharon A”H ben Yisroel Sheyichye Hakohen, and they continue to head this wonderful program, that the children look forward to month to month.

    Some of my children are on Shlichus themselves now, yet they & their siblings well remember going to these rallies & having a great time. They’ve all aged out now, some are parents themselves, but the memories remain.

    Thank you to Faigie & Rivkie for taking on a tiny project, watching it grow, and sticking with it over the years. You have no idea how many Neshomos you touched!
