SNAP Benefits to be Fully Issued Following End of Government Shutdown
Following the end of the longest government shutdown in history, SNAP benefits will be distributed in full for November and December, the US Department of Agriculture announced on Thursday.
State agencies were directed to resume issuing combined allotments for November and December, including for newly certified applicants who submitted after the 15th of the month, the USDA’s website said.
It was not immediately made clear whether recipients would receive benefits for both months at once, and a representative for the USDA did not respond to a request for comment by the time of publishing.
