Trump Announces Plan To Hike Tariffs On Canada To 35%
President Trump announced Thursday his administration would impose a 35% tariff on all Canadian goods beginning next month.
In a letter sent to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Trump outlined the upcoming tariffs, which mark an increase over the top 25% tariff rates that Trump first imposed on Canadian imports in March.
This week, Trump has posted letters to more than a dozen countries vowing to impose steep tariffs on their imports starting Aug. 1.
