Hundreds attend the Friendship Circle Kickoff Event!

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – Sunday evening over 200 girls packed into the hall on the second floor of the Jewish Childrens Museum for this years Friendship Circle Kickoff event.

The event opened up with the introduction of the new directors of the Friendship Circle, Levi and Chayale Eckhaus, who introduced the new programs and ideas for the upcoming year. The Kickoff event was meant to recruit new volunteers for the upcoming year of activities.

The Eckhauses told CrownHeights.info that this year there is a whole range of new programs planned for the children as well as for the volenteers, such as a Winter Camp and programs like ‘Bring a Friend to Shul’ among many other exiting and innovative programs.

Two new volunteer coordinator have been added to streamline communication, they are Chaya Chein and Malka Fishman, as well as a new ‘School Presidents’ liasions, who will be the intermediary between the directors and the volenteers, those are; Bais Rivka – Shaina Shagalov and Chaya Chein, Bnos Menachem – Chayaleh Barber and Mina Cohen, Bais Chaya Mushka – Shaindy Kadaner and Tzivi Best.

The attendees enjoyed a fun an entertaining performance by Mendy (and Menachem) Pellin, along with a hot buffet with drinks and nosh.

At the conclusion of the event all the participants filled out the applications to volunteer for the following year!

    Mendy was funy and great!! Best part!!! I had no idea that he was going to be there….. then there was a "live" video of Mendy… then Menachem came out.. spoke to Mendy… well done.. we were all cracking up!!
