Beginning Thursday, New York Mask Mandate to Expire, Except in Schools

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has announced her plan to let the indoor mask mandate expire Thursday, with the exception of the school mandate.

The change was prompted by a drastic drop in COVID-19 numbers, according to Hochul, following the lead of other states such as New Jersey.

Hochul’s plan for the School mask mandates is to reevaluate following mid-winter break, which will take place in the first week of March.
