DeBlasio Announces He Will Not Be Running for Governor

Former New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio has announced that he will not be running of the office of New York State Governor, ending speculation that has been buzzing on a potential run.

“I am not going to be running for governor of New York state but I am going to devote every fiber of my being to fighting inequality in the state of New York,” de Blasio tweeted.

The tweet also came with a video showing DeBlasio speaking from his home block in Brooklyn.

Presently dominating the lead for governor is present Governor Kathy Hochul, who rose to the office after former governor Andrew Cuomo resigned over a scandal.
