According to Jewish Music insiders, the new 8th Day album is light-years ahead of their first album and is packed with hits. The new album “Brooklyn” will be released on July 31st. The original songs and fresh style of 8th Day has attracted one of LA’s top mixing talent, Andy Haller, who has worked with major record companies like Hollywood, Columbia and Epic Records.

8th Day is the musical product of the Marcus family (nephews of Avraham Fried) based in Southern California. All songs are written by the band, for the band, and the new album will feature 12 fresh songs with hits like “Krenitz” (Buhbinyu,) “Wake Up”, and of course the title track “Brooklyn”.

The album is full of treats from guest artists like Fernando Rao (now on tour with Hilary Duff) on bass, and Shaya Lieberman (of Isaiah and the Prophets) on keys, and Gidon Shikler (of the Rockrites) on sax. This is a must album for any music lover. Like the first album, 8th Day’s new “Brooklyn” CD will feature Marcus Bothers Benny and Shmuel on lead vocals, Benny on guitar and vocals, and Zalman, Chaim, Yossi and Eli adding their sweet harmonies. nice video clip. just to let you know though, that this is not what they’re stuff is like. it’s more like electirc guitarish, but not like typical goyish music with jewish words (blue fringe?) – it’s really an original blend.

i guess webby put up the acapello for the nine days. this is an ultra-orthodox site after all….

    Where’s their shadow?
The cover photo is missing their shadow. Ah, I know. They’re malachim!

  • Dissapointed

I think these guys need to get their lives straight. You cannot be a shliach and producing dvd’s etc. Is this the concept of shlichus the Rebbe would want?
    Whats this title “Harav Hashliach”?
Lets call a spade a spade and not drag down Shlichus & Shluchim.

  • THE biggest fan, hands down

I keep on watching this clip over and over again.

You boys are gorgeous, inside and out.

And to, “biggest fan!” – nuh uh! I am!!!

  • Isaiah & the prophets

Shaya. where’s the pic of you playing? I’d like to see some Isaiah and the porfits!

Disappointed-they put out cd’s not dvd’s. They also bring many Jews closer to Yiddishkeit through their music. Yes, this is Shlichus.

  • to Disapointed

    To Disapointed,
instead of calling a spade a spade, let’s call “Disapointed” a “Loser.”
if you don’t see how producing jewish, modern music with chassidic content is shlichus than you probably have very little experience with shlichus–which is probably a good thing, since you probably don’t have the maturity or open-mindedness to speak to anyone that doesn’t live between Troy and Nostrand and Eastern Parkway and Lefferts.
your disapointment should be in yourself and in the patheticness (not sure if that’s a word — actually, i’m sure it’s not) of your being.
with love (yes, even for you),
